Solve : Window running slow to freeze.?

I have XP window, everything boot up FINE to the window screen, then i can't do anything else. i can move the mouse around but when i click on any icon to run program, the computer just keep running but not doing anything. It happens after i tried to hook up my computer to a FLAT panel. Is it some sort of virus or what? THANK you.Try starting in safe mode by hitting F8 while the computer is booting.
Then see if you can get your programs to run.yes, i got to safe mode, it boot up and i can run program from there. So how do i solve the problem, run antivirus in the mode or what?Running all the anti-everything programs in safe more is a good start.
See if you can open your task MANAGER in normal mode by hitting Ctrl+Alt+Del, then stop any running applications.
Then try and open your programs.
everything is running fine in safemode, no virus detected. but then i go back to the window the same problem happen agains. Quote

If this is a new flat panel, how much RAM does the system have and is the video memory shared (inclusive) or not shared (exclusive) of the system RAM?you may have answered your own question It happens after i tried to hook up my computer to a flat panel???. ..Have .UPDATED video drivers./via the floppy disk that came with the screen??...have you checked  that your card  will support it //or winxp supports this led..../plasma screen.....type dxdiag in the run box and test it out....
