hello,

in my PIII 450MHz ATX system,

I installed Win98 & XP Professional.
1)win98 giving me netbios.vxd file error while booting
How to remove (configer) this message
2) while shutting down the XP professional
Its giving message as SAFE TO TURN OFF Ur COMPUTER NOW
It is not POWEROFF completely

Windows XP may not be shutting down your PC simply because the HARDWARE might not be compatible to do so.
If the power on/off on your computer is a switch, or a button that stays in when the computer is on, and goes out when its off, then there is no WAY to get Windows to shutdown your computer.

I am not sure that this thread belongs here...

Could you please provide the EXACT error message for the "netbios.vxd" error?

But in WINDOWS98 it is shudown properly. (Power OFF completely)


But in XP "IT SAFE TO TURN OF YOUR COMPUTER" message will comeSee above. It has to do with your machine, not the Windows installation being defective.
