Solve : Win 98SE Printer Driver For HP Deskjet 990c?

Answer»

The subject DRIVER has a file name: hp_990-enu-win9x_ME.zip . It is no longer available from hp's website as of June 2007 for download. Every website that I've tried to get the driver from apparently takes me to hp's website, which is then a dead end. Is there any other way that I MAY TRY to obtain this driver? Is your printer one of these: Software & Driver downloads? The website that you gave me is HP's and they will no longer make that driver available. (What I understand is that once Microsoft no longer supported WIN 98SE, Hewlett-Packer (hp) destroyed all of there copies of WIN 98SE drivers.) What I need is for somebody who still has a copy of that driver and could send it to me. This is because it appears that all the websites that I found that claim to be able to get you a copy of that driver link you back to hp's. And that is a dead end.Try here...

You can get a free membership and download drivers...to a point. I JOINED for $29 and it has saved my bacon (though I don't eat bacon ) more than once.

I just joined (elected the free membership) and confirmed they have win9x_me.zip for hp deskjet 990c series.

If you haven't joined yet, be aware that you'll be bombarded with commercial offers during the sign-up procedure, but you can decline them and still get the free membership, which apparently gives you access to part of their drivers database.
