Solve : Why are bps's so slow and how to improve?

Howdy...For the past few days, my bps speed has decreased from 33600 to 24000. I did everything in my power, including CHECKING the phone line, but I know it's the computer...PLEASE HELP...!!! Thanks...

And how did you come to this comclusion? When you start with a  false assumption, you are unlikely to get the correct answer.Upgrade system to adsl/cable/sat/broadband........is cheaper to do?.......there is such a thing as net drop out..................ding.....
