Answer» Quote from: Carbon Dudeoxide on May 15, 2009, 02:01:41 AM I would have to agree that Norton 2009 is indeed a very good Antivirus, one of the top AV products out there. Norton wasn't a bad product when you're talking about the product doing its job of protecting the pc from VIRUSES. It's just that Norton was using up way too much memory and thus causing havoc, but seems like Symantec's been addressing people's complaints. It's like AVG isn't really a bad product for virus protection, but it's the fact that it comes with all the other stuff that MAKES it not as desired for many people. Norton was hijackware last i was informed. It hijacked the resources so it's a resource gobbler. But it does it's job of antiviral protection though ....the main thing Norton draws from is peoples wallets. But I kind of like avira’s look and feel better. So I would go for avira. Quote from: cat-bomb on May 28, 2009, 03:59:32 PM I’ve tested nod32 and it caught everything, and so did avira antivir. If you have an antivirus, no matter how good it is at this point, if you still let the crapware get through, you're computer is still toast.Yeah i'd stick with Avira AntiVir for sure.I actually used to use: Woolworths Internet Security It cost me £5 a year and was constantly updated , it had a game mode and it wasnt at all gutsy in the processor department! BUT YOU CAN'T GET IT FROM WOOLIES FOR £5 NOW so... I am sad lol anyway , you might still be able to get it from its producers though maybe not for £5 lol The software was made by panda http://www.pandasoftware.co.uk I'm sure there is a global / us site too! |
