you dont need to reinstall you just need to set up your internet settings correctly. For some reason things just got mucked up. This video is on outlook express but you should get the IDEA what you need.

yea i know I was just trying to show what to look for IE; email servers and such....Well, his problem, which relates to Microsoft Exchange Server that can be used with Outlook, does not apply to Outlook Express. So, the link you posted WOULD not be HELPFUL in this case.
