Solve : Warez problem?

Answer»

Last month,Patio,I think, touched on this with me and I need more info.I uploaded some software a friend gave me on CD.However,it was apparently "warez" or as I know now, from a file sharing site.I DELETED all aspects of this program;however, when I run my registry mechanic,it will list up to 279 high problems associated with this software.Doing a search of my computer turns up zilch; If I don't reboot after registry mechanic runs, all is fine. But after a reboot, each error seems to come back.Any suggestions?Broni, got yer ears on?Thanks, always,in advance...CNReddWhen you say "doing a search," do you mean in registry mechanic, or in windows?

I would download a freeware anti-spyware/adware/malware utility like spybot or ad-aware (both available on download.com, btw)Sorry,I MEANT to say searching in windows....I do have and run Adaware,as well as MAX registry cleaner, which is actually what is picking up this problems, not registry mechanic as I mentioned earlier.I can delete them as they show, but they continue to find their way back.As far as I can tell, nothing is really being affected. But I just see the same ones every day and was hoping there is a permanent delete, short of wiping the whole thing clean....CNReddIf you can narrow the problem down to one or two types of ad-ware/malware/spyware, you can do a search on SYMANTEC's website for it and see if there's either a REMOVAL tool or a manual removal method you can follow.
