Answer» Hello, I have a window xp with the visual studio 05 installer but when I run it, the install goes fine until it get half way and stops and an error pops up. SAYING that I need a dll could not run. I have downlaod this same program with the same installer on a different computer, same version of windows. But these windows xp have the sp 1. I wander if that is the problem? Why not use Windows XP SP-3? Do you need the SP-1? This can cause a conflict with installation of Visual Studio 2005 in some cases. So don't in stall those programs. This computer is not connected to the Internet and probably never will, I have a laptop right next to it where I post and download and transfer thing via flash drive. So therefor I can't get so 2 or 3. I did some messing around and found a visual c++ 05, so j# is not the problem. It did the same error message. Could I possibly update the windows installer I have? You are trying to install Visual Studio 2005 on XP SP-1.
Is that right?
Why not use Windows XP SP-3? Do you need the SP-1?
