Answer» Today, I aquired an icon on my taskbar that keeps reminding me that I need spyware protection. I wouldn't have thought much about it, but when I click the bubble, it sends me to virusprotect pro website. I don't know what you CALL that, but I'm certain they have placed this icon on my computer. I have downloaded adware and avgspyware to try to GET rid of it, but neither of them DETECT it as a threat. What do I do? Can anybody help me with this? I use Windows xp, I think, if that helps any.Update your adaware and avg spyware programs. Boot into Safe Mode and run full system scans. Let the programs DELETE and/or quarantine what they find. Reboot into Windows normally and run the scans again.
