How do I find/uncover deleted files on my Win 10 PC, please? The files have been deleted, sent to the Recycle Bin, and the Bin emptied.
Thank you.Obviously your BEST option would be if you have backups you've created. If not, you can try a utility such as Recuva (https://www.ccleaner.com/recuva). Moving forward, you should create disk IMAGES on a regular basis.Point taken, Allan. Many thanks for the link.
CheersFirst what kind of DRIVE are you RECOVERY the files from if it is an SSD the method used is different from the older mechanical DRIVES. If you are still using the computer the files were deleted from stop now and don't load Recuva onto the drive you are recovering the files from. Always attach the drive to another computer and do the recovery from there not the copy of windows with the deleted files. Make sure you have a drive large enough to take the deleted files. Thanks for your reply. It's a SATA III drive.
