Solve : Video CD problems? |
|
Answer» I made a video CD using Window Movie maker 5.1 complete with images/slides and music. I used a Windows XP computer. I play the Video CD on my TVs DVD player and all is fine however when I play the same Video CD on the PC that I made it on using Windows Media Player the the VCD plays about halfway through then all images/pictures go blank but I hear the audio/music just fine till the end. Ok. I just started using Movie Maker, so I dont know how to do that ?/I meant does the movie play ok in Movie Maker? Quote and since we are here what is the difference between, " Save as" and " Save Project as" ??Save as means you can save the movie as an WMV file for example. Save Project as means you can save the project and re-open it to do some editing before publishing the movie.Ok get the Save Project as feature now, Thanks ! ! ! ! ! ! Bakc to the first issue. I had originally saved the Movie(?) that would eventually become the VCD to the hard drive so when I play the Movie from through Media Player all is good !! But still now quite sure how to play the actual VCD though Window Movie Maker. Ive looked for feature of some kind that indicated "Play" but found nothing. There is a feature that says "Play" but to my knowledge ( and my knowledge is limted in this respect) but it will only play whats in the timeline/storyline. So i am confused ? Please help ?!?!?!?!!? Quote But still now quite sure how to play the actual VCD though Window Movie Maker. You would open the project and run the movie but you said it plays okay as a WMV file so the problem is elsewhere. How are you saving the movie in Movie Maker? This could be the key.I used the "Save to my Computer...." option, then saved the file to My Doc/My Video folders. Then I used Nero to burn it to a CD... Thanks Quote I play the Video CD on my TVs DVD player and all is fine however when I play the same Video CD on the PC that I made it on using Windows Media Player the the VCD plays about halfway through then all images/pictures go blank but I hear the audio/music just fine till the end.Did you play the full video on your DVD player? What happens when you play the video from your My videos folder? My thoughts exactly... I'm thinking it's something wrong in the Nero burn process...but the saved project probably works fine. The video runs well on his DVD player so I'm thinking there may be a problem with Windows Media Player.Yes the saved process runs fine on the PC and the VCD runs fine on the TV but the VCD acts kind of screwy with Windows Media Player any sugestions ? Thank You When you play the saved file what media plays it?Windows Media Player.I can't figure what is wrong with the RECORDING. When I make a DVD I use DVD Flick. I just open DVD Flick, add the video file and set the program to burn to a DVD. You can also play around with to add a title and a special opening screen. Now you have a DVD that will play automatically on any machine. |
