Answer» I'm totally out of my depth here. A primary school has code oo its WEB page that puts up a vertical row of images with no spaces between the images. They want to be able to space the images, vertically, and experiment to see what looks best.
I've tried editing the code after consulting dozens of web sites, but am really scratching around in the dark and getting nowhere fast - I'm not a programmer!
There are eighteen images but they might add or delete some. I give a sample below of the code for the FIRST four images. Can anyone suggest what they need to add to each piece of code to achieve their wish?
Many thanks,
John

Use the code box when posting code in future, otherwise the forum messes it up when it filters the input. Can you repost the code?Whoops! Sorry. Didn't realise there was such a thing.
Found it.
Code: [Select]<!-- Information image code --> <a href="http://www.school-portal.co.uk/GroupHomepage.asp?GroupID=971774"><img border=0 src="http://www.school-portal.co.uk/platforms/959805/971774/Images/NavbarImage.jpg" /></a><br />
<!-- Staff image code --> <a href="http://www.school-portal.co.uk/GroupHomepage.asp?GroupID=971778"><img border=0 src="http://www.school-portal.co.uk/platforms/959805/971778/Images/NavbarImage.jpg" /></a><br />

<!-- School COUNCIL image code --> <a href="http://www.school-portal.co.uk/GroupHomepage.asp?GroupID=1000190"><img border=0 src="http://www.school-portal.co.uk/platforms/959805/1000190/Images/NavbarImage.jpg" /></a><br /> Thanks.
Try adding this bit of code to it: Code: [Select]style="padding: 10 0 10 0;"
e.g. Code: [Select]<!-- Information image code --> <a href="http://www.school-portal.co.uk/GroupHomepage.asp?GroupID=971774"> <img border="0" style="padding: 10 0 10 0;" src="http://www.school-portal.co.uk/platforms/959805/971774/Images/NavbarImage.jpg" /> </a><br />
Just ADJUST the two "10"s in the style attribute above to suit. You may also get better results by changing "padding" to "margin".Very many thanks, especially for the swiftness and helpfulness of your reply. Glad you also showed where to put the extra piece of code!
"padding" made no difference at all, but "margin" works perfectly.
JohnQuote "padding" made no difference at all, but "margin" works perfectly. Oh YEAH, sorry. Glad it's sorted.
