Answer» Is there a way of watching everything that my son is doing on his computer from mine?http://www.spytech-web.com/home-computer-monitoring.shtml
This is one example. I'm not sure it's the best -- I'm mainly replying so you know there are solutions. There are members on here who are well-versed in the various types of softwares, so keep an eye out -- you'll get more responses, I'm sure.I've used Remote Control Pro before. It works fairly well. It let's you view or control a remote computer. http://www.alchemy-lab.com/products/rcp/ Why do you want to watch everything? Maybe something like NetNanny would be better. Is this really your son or........ ?Yeah....You shouldnt spy on PEOPLE...UH, as a teenager myself, I really don't think spying on your son is your best bet. Mutual trust is so much better. Why don't you try talking to him, and asking him what he does? Or put his computer in a more open location? Just.. yeah.. it would really, really bother me if my parents tried to spy on me like that. I just use my computer in the kitchen, where my mom can clearly see what I'm doing.Yes, John -- I agree -- that's the simplest advice, and probably a basic rule for the scenario. Trust is best, when both PARTIES are doing their best to play by the house rules.Quote from: Aegis on April 04, 2008, 05:19:33 PM Yes, John -- I agree -- that's the simplest advice, and probably a basic rule for the scenario. Yeah, and the general rule of thumb is, if you don't trust your kid, you move the computer to somewhere you can see.. Installing spying software is just mean, though.I don't know if it's mean to INSTALL spy software. What would you suggest for the person who won't obey the rules? Or what if you can't be there to directly monitor the computer's usage?Stricter Rules...along with freedom should come personal responsibility.
