I have been reading all over the internet about how to use a downloaded font (Mine come from Dafont.com) in the Gimp program. Mainly Ive read to simply place the unzipped file into your windows font folder.
Now Ive DONE that with numerous different fonts, and I cannot get them to show up in Gimp.
I've been able to use downloaded gimp brushes by PUTTING them straight into the gimp program files for brushes.
Ive tried refreshing my gimp text WINDOW as well, I can't seem to get it to work.
Advice please?I think you NEED to put them here. C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\etc\fonts

I had to change the file name in the prefrences screen.Cool, I found another guide for anyone ELSE who may need this information.
