Solve : USB U3 Not Working?

Answer»

I have a u3 4 gb that was unpluged forcefully. Theres stuff that I want off of it. Is it possible to try an recover the files?MANY recovery programs work for Flash memory.

After an action like accidental disconnect if you lost data, its always good to reformat as well. If the files have been corrupted while unplugging the drive, there may be no way to get them back. Its not lighting up so I mite have luck with this. It did fix my other one. But I FORGET how I did it.Try it in another computer, that was the resolution to a similar problem I had once. I tried an it still not working. It probably has the same problem in your other topic.

Have you been safely removing the DRIVES or just pulling them out?Yeah, do you think I'm that insucre with data? was unpluged forcefully, mean it was pulled out.If you just unplug the flash drive, you have probably damaged it now....same as the other one.
There is a reason why you have a 'Remove Safely' feature.

This isn't the first TIME?I dont think or recall, that mite have just failed. I got a formater an it fixed it but I dont remember since that was a while back what it was.Try this HP Formatting TOOL:

(you will loose all data)Thats good an okay, I think thats what I had used to do it. One Question, will it get rid of my u3 stuff I dont recall.Oh wait, U3. Hold on a sec.I couldn't find anything....

Try it and see what happens.Yeah, thats why it says that in the top. It should work, thanks that saves me alot of time. I want to make this for my class work an need it to be a large drive.
