Answer» Is it possible for a USB memory stick to have a virus? but, even if it does have a virus to TRANSFER it wou;dn't you need to not only put the usb in to anothe persons computer but they also have to take one of your files and permeantely place it on their computer?
because someone NEEDED to give me a file and they put the usb into their MAC laptop and when they went to drage and drop it didnt work and they lost their desktop and their TASKBAR turned blue.
does this ahve anything to do with the USB stick. because as far as i know i don't have any viruses or anything like that at all on it. and this has never happened to anyone else that has borrowed my USB.
THanks.
Any transported executable file has the potential, some more than others. I thought this was interesting:
http://www.boingboing.net/2006/01/18/usb_drive_with_built.htmlso does that mean that the ...whatever it was could have passed on without passing on a file?
because IVE already a scan on the usb and it doesnt have any viruses. The program if it were one would have to be executed to activate, I believe. A good scanning should reveal any problems with it.
