Answer» Hey, I just have a small problem with the USB ports in my computer. I have four USB ports in my PC, all of which work to my knowledge. I'm PRETTY sure they all work, because I have used them numerous times in the past. But recently, (not sure how long ago) when ever any USB device is plugged in to the computer, it freezes the computer, and I am forced to restart the computer. I tried booting up the computer with my MP3 player already plugged in to the port, but upon booting up the computer I find that the computer hasn't recognized the device. I need help. Please. Thanks, S. JohnsonTry removing the USB port drivers from the device manager.System info is.......operating system is.

Windows will automatically detect the USB controller and reinstall the correct drivers. On RESTARTING,
That's great.
