Answer» Hey guys, Just wondering, is there a way to plug my USB Devices into my router, such as my measly 256mb memory stick or my H320 (20 Gig music player) or even my iPod? Ive been Googling USB to Rj45 but all I get is RJ45 to USB converters. Wrong way round. Router is a Netgear DG834G with 3 spare RJ45 PORTS. Thanks Guys

Oh by the way I just looked and a few of you might remember a while back i posted about my Micros SD Card with some weird folders and FILES on it. Anyway its all fixed now, and I was sure I posted a reply to let you all know that it was sorted, but I just checked and it turns out I didn't, so sorry for that. But basically i use it as my memory stick to transport all my work to and from school. One day I was doing my COURSEWORK and my mate unplugged my PC, so when I rebooted it, it did that Scandisk (you know the one with the blue background and white text when you don't shut down your PC properly.) Anyway when doing that it deleted the folders for me saying they were invalid or something. Anyway I've ATTACHED the log for you so you can see for yourself and maybe it will help someone else who has a similar problem. EDIT: Ill attach it later as I don't have my USB thing for my phone.Quote from: chriscool9 on October 24, 2007, 06:54:04 AM Hey guys, Just wondering, is there a way to plug my USB Devices into my router, such as my measly 256mb memory stick or my H320 (20 Gig music player) or even my iPod? Nope I'm pretty sure this can't be done. Even if you could find a USB to RJ45 converter, your USB devices aren't designed to handle being connected to a router. If you want to share USB devices over a network you need a Network USB hub or a NAS with USB ports.Ok cheers bud, That makes everything alot clearer. Ill have a look into them Thanks
