when I try to upgrade my WINDOWS me to xp I go up to 50% but when starting computer to continue the rest of SETUP I get the massege"' setup had determined that drive c: is couurpted and cannot be repaired setup can not continue.to quit setup press f3.I don't have any problem when I am using windows me.Is it related to format and parition I made to hard disk before or I have to update the bios.my cpu is pentium3 864 and my mother BOARD is asus cusl2-c.I will appriciate your help in advance.Did you delete and format the partitions before installing.Are you trying to "upgrade" to XP? ie not reformatting and laying a new OS?

Cause if so, XP dont like ME and will not upgrade.  If you put in the disk and run the check system compatability option it should tell you as much.

Correct me if I am wrong please, but all the ME computers I have changed to XP COULD not be upgraded only done as a new installI would do a clean install SAM, you'll be sure of a much better result. It is also much better to re-partition and FULL format the drive using the XP CD.

Does your XP CD have SP2?
