Answer» I have an old Toshiba Satellite Pro 4300 running Win 98 and I would like to upgrade to Win 2000. On the laptop is a sticker saying "designed for win 2000 Pro".
I would like to format the hard drive and do a clean install. Is this a good move?
Also, apart from drivers is there any other (toshiba) software required? I know that some laptops come with all kinds of utilities pre-installed.
And any other words of ADVICE...yup, clean install are the best start but i hope you know when you state "FORMAT" you will lost everything so MAKE your backup, if you have any important data such as mp3's or else.
you can download the driver here http://www.toshiba-europe.com/bv/computers/sns/index.aspOk Thanks.
So just because it is a laptop it doesn't NEED any special treatment?...upgrade PROCESS is the same as for a desktop?
Thanks for the driver siteQuote upgrade process is the same as for a desktop? Yes
