Answer» http://I used Napster for a few days until I was hipped that .99 a song was a burn. I tried to uninstall via Control Panel and it starts but then shoots up a message that " I am attempting to INSTALL a newer version over a old version, please go to the control panel and delete the OLDER version" I have deleted the files that refer to napster thru a search in EXPLORER, but that damned reference is still in my program list! Any suggestions?? :-/System restore to a pre-napster date, if it has just been a few days?nO, ITS BEEN LIKE A MONTH.Hace you installed other software since then? You may have to reinstall that. Are you free of adware/spyware/virii?I believe I am. I run spybot and EZTrust AV & Firewall. I scan routinely also. I am afraid that if I go back too far for a restore I'll get SOMETHING messed up. Plus, I did a search on my drive for "napster*.*" and found nothing, but control panel still lists Napster as being there.Its no big deal, just an annoyance. If you want it gone, you will have to EDIT the registry and remove any references to Napster.If you just deleted the files without a proper uninstall, it doesn't know what to do. There is now no uninstall program. |
