Solve : uninstalling nt, when it wont show as the os?

Answer»

I have an old harddrive that I'am trying to install xp on but. The drive wont BOOTUP.I've tring fdisk, deleting,But I can't get into the harddrive,Any help out there,Thanks in advance.when i get any information from the drive,it's SHOWS that ntfs is on it.how big is the old hard drive.....and how old is it?the drive is 6gb, 5yrs.the drive can handle just.....winxp......have a look here>>http://www.windowsxphome.windowsreinstall.com/    it may save  time......thanks for your reply. But the problem is I can't get the drive to RESPOND to any keystroke. When i just try to boot,It shows nothing. When I go though the fdsik,It will show that there is no fixed disk present. when I try to partiton,it shows that there is not enough drivespace.I tried running scandisk,it start, stopes and GOES to the same screen showing that there is not enough drivespace.Questions:

1. Is the Hard Disk Drive properly connected?
2. Have the jumpers been properly set?
-- Assuming you have more than one Hard Disk Drive installed
3. Has the Hard Disk Drive its integrity been tested to verify that it hat not failed?
4. Does the BIOS detect the Hard Disk Drive?format the drive........or change the bios setup.......del key on boot  change the bootup setup to boot from cdrom drive........winxp  is a self bootable disk.......
