Answer» I have no idea where this goes, so ... Over the past few weeks, I've been GRADUALLY discovering more and more ADDRESSES that I can't get to from my home PC. I'm using IE and it attempts to go out to the address, but just tries and tries and tries and never actually gets there. The main one I've noticed is Google, but I've also had issues with EBAY, the Onion and many other smaller ones. The same problem is occurring on another computer on the same system at my house, so I'm assuming it's a network problem, connection problem or some virus of some nature. Some routers have a default MTU that is too high, or it may have been changed by some rubbish Internet connection "optmising" software. Are you connecting to the Internet via a router? If your MTU is over 1452, try setting it to that. If the same problem occurs, reduce the MTU setting by a small amount each time until the problem goes away. Any qns, post again.
