Solve : Ubuntu Live CD problems?

Answer»

I tried to load it on my HP DESKTOP. I loaded, well somewhat, looked like it got hung up. Anyway I waited 2 hours just to use it from the CD. Has anyone else had a problem like this? Or is this even a problem at all, and i'm just impatient.

Memory on the HP is 128mb, I think I read to use live CD I need 256mb, can that be confirmed?

ThanksMemory REQUIREMENTS vary on live Linux CDs. Have you tried another distro? Knoppix is a very good choice for a FIRST live CD distro, due in no small part to its excellent hardware detection.Quote

No I haven't tried any other live CD. I'm gonna look into a couple different thingsWould you run Windows on 128 meg RAM, from a CD even?

Try *censored* Small Linux or Slax and ALWAYS do a burn at a slow speed - 4x or so for BEST results.
