Hi! My friend is having a typing problem with her computer..I was talking to her on AIM and then she said BRB and when she came back on she said that when she would type two letters would come up at a time..and she said when she would clik on " T" it would go to FIND and when she clicked on " G" it would go to the print SCREEN..Can someone help me?Well 2 things pop into MIND.....

1. She has ONE of those fancy keyboards with more functions than keys and her function key is stuck.
2. Someone remapped her keyboard while she was away as a joke.

Thanks! Do you know how she would be able to fix it?1. Scan for viruses and malware with updated virus and malware scanners (not the same thing).
2. If it is in fact a fancy keyboard then she would need to consult the manual or the manufacturer's website.  (They are all different)
3. If someone remapped her keyboard (locally, not through a virus or malware) she would need to uninstall the mapping software or "reset to defaults"

I would need a lot more information on her SYSTEM to troubleshoot through this forum.

If there is anyway she can come to this forum and post directly that may help.

If she is having problems typing in addresses to browse the Internet and is on Windows XP she might try the on screen keyboard included in XP.

To open On-Screen Keyboard, click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to Accessibility, and then click On-Screen Keyboard.  Thanks! It Turns out she DID Fry her keyboard! Thanks for all the help
