Solve : Two coloured eyes?

I saw a pic awhile ago and it was quite weird.
The kid was looking straight at the camera and one eye was white/BLUE and the other was red.. Now normally if you look at a camera with flash on (this camera did) both of your eyes go red if you look at it, but this kids eyes were two colours.
This is apparently a precursor to cancer..?
Or more hopefully a light fragment kinda thing..

Have any of you guys read anything about this??

It struck me as quite odd...

FIRE away Google "heterochromia" without the quotes. David Bowie and Jane Seymour have different colored eyes.

Sorry, my comment about David Bowie is apparently incorrect. According to Wiki both his eyes are blue but one is permanently dilated.

Different colored eyes.....INTERESTING....Uh, maybe I made myself mis-understood.

The kid has blue eyes,
yet in the pic one is red (like the devil eyes from a camera flash)
due to the camera flash..

I sure misunderstood. There are some considerations as to whether this indicates the presence of cancer and apparently only a specialist can make a reasonable diagnosis. See this site.
