Solve : Toshiba Satellite L300?

Answer»

Im having issues with a laptop. All ive been told is that the laptop restarted and hasn't been able to load windows ever since. So far i have tried the following:
-When laptop first starts i have 2 options. "F2 go to Setup Utility" and "F12 go to Boot Manager" i can't find Recovery anywhere.
-I tried multiple boot and recovery disks, they would all freeze half way through. even trying to INSTALL windows is impossible.
-Boot Manager: HDD "A disk read error occured. Press ctrl alt del to restart
FDD "A disk read error occured. press ctrl alt del to restart
CD/DVD
LAN
USB
-I tried turning it off, holding down number 0(zero) i get the same message "a disk read error", also tried the same with the letter O and got the same message.
No files on the laptop need backup, i am LOOKING for a way (if possible) to try and wipe it clean and install new windows.

Any help would be appreciated.Your probably going to need a new hard DRIVE, but you can test this drive out by installing Ubuntu to it for free and see if it installs or crashes. If it crashes again. Swap hard drive with a good one and try again. If it runs fine now, you can wipe out LINUX and install Windows. System will need to have 512MB RAM minimum to perform the latest Ubuntu Linux installation test.Alright i will give it a try, thanks for the tipOr he can run the Free DIAGNOSTICS from the manuf. site...eliminates having to install anything.
