The application tags on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen that allow you to jump between applications/web pages are gone.  I can only utilize one application - IE I can not bounce between  Micrsoft Money and a web site.  I hope this is just some set up issue that will be easy to fix.  Thanks for any help.Are you referring to the taskbar?

Have you perhaps moved it across the screen or hidden it?

You can configure nearly every aspect of the taskbar by going to the following menu:

1. Start
2. Settings
3. Taskbar and Menu Start

May only apply to Windows XP Home and Professional.Do you mean the start button......I do mean the task bar, I can see the start button and the shortcut icons to the right of it, but just blank in between.  I went to Control Panel/task and start menu, but did not have an option to address this issue.  I've tried to see if I can "UNCOVER" hidden icons to no avail.  right -click on the bottom task bar got to toolbars.....and tick quick launch....Quick Launch is there, NORMALLY when I open Internet Explorer, a "tab" appears in the task bar, if I were to open IE again, another "tab" would appear and I could look at two different web pages by clicking on either "tab"  - The Tabs are what will no longer show up.
I keep thinking this has to be a simple set up button that I don't know, but I did not change anything to facilitate this happening - now I'm thinking virus.Are the tabs hidden underneath eachother? This is a function which is available in Windows XP and is enabled by default. Click on the tab once to see a list with tabs currently hidden underneath eachother.
