Solve : Thumbnail preview missing??

Answer»

I used to be able to "view THUMBNAILS" in Windows explorer through the "view" tab and or by right clicking in the folder.
Now the only options I have are: Large Icons, Small Icons, List and Details.

Running WindowsME

Not sure where it went,
Thanks in advance

Vaxurego to start/programs/accessories/msdos prompt  c:\windows>   and type scanreg/restore  and chose the last good cab filefollow on screen instructions...are you running ie 6 on winme...?or half WAY down this webpage>http://aumha.org/regfiles.htm    a REG patch for thumbnail previewWell I tried the  "reg patch for thumbnail preview"
but it didnt do anything so i did what you recomended through DOS and it reconfigured all of my hardware settings and seems to have worked but has created another problem. The left side of windows explorer is now just grey?

My question is what the heck did i just do? lol

btw yes im using EI6

Thanks for the help well apon further review it seems that I am now running IE 5.5?Ok I went AHEAD and restored the backup of the registry I made prior to your suggestions and everything seems to be in working ORDER now, including the thumbnail preview.

Although I did like the way IE5.5 was putting my bookmarks into alphabetical order unlike 6.0 hehe

All is well thank you
