When typying the symbol, the hold down the "Alt" key and type a 0 (zero) plus the 3 numbers. Alt+0189 = ½ Alt+0162 = ¢ My 2½¢ Ooops, I worded that a little WRONG, not all of the symbol numbers are 3 DIGIT.
