Answer» "The Pop-Up Window That Wasn't There" was my favorite episode of the old Hardy Boys TV series. I put in new printer cartridges on my HP DeskJet. Now, when I print, a taskbar button for HP shows up. When I press Alt-Tab, I can see the HP window, but I can't toggle to it. If I Win-Tab, I can click in its 'Close Window' box, but I can't select it and make it my top-most window. It LOOKS LIKE it's TRYING to SELL me something, or make me sign up for some censored HP nonsense. But since I can't actually GET to the window, I can't tell it "No, go away and don't COME back." (Which I believe was the last line of dialogue in that old Hardy Boys episode). What do I do?uninstall the printer driver. Download a new fresh copy of the driver from HP Install the driver and see if the problem comes back.
