given here ..

2X +y = 2. .....(1)

-x +2y = 4. .....(2)

by (1) ,

y= 2-2x. ...(3)

put value in (2)

-x +2(2-2x)=4

-x+4-4x=4

-5x +4=4

-5x=0

x=0

then,

put value of x =0 in (3)

y= 2-2×0

y= 2

thus :

value of x and y will be

= 0, 2
