had to reinstall vista for roommate..... ALLS good , BUT the ethernet drivers it says they where not installed correctly.... 5 ATTEMPTS (re downloaded each time) please help done want roommate to use my laptop anymore....Did you first install the chipset driver?crap..... didnt at all..... what a noob mistake..... sorry to even waste forum space
No problemcould have something to do with the 24 celebratory beer i had last night ..... celebrating singleness....(ex was crazy) lol the chipset driver was not the solution didnt help at all ... crap ( and yes they are the vista ones) saying something about program compatability Okay. So you installed the chipset driver then tried to install the driver for the ethernet card. What EXACTLY happens?got am essage from both stating they where not installed correctly or there is a compatibility issue
Where did the chipset and network drivers COME from?lol directly from the Lenovo site And you are certain they are the correct drivers for the particular hardware in your system? I'm guessing they are not. Wasn't there a driver disc included with the system? And just fyi, I'll be logging off for the evening shortly, but there are others here who will be happy to help.yes i searched using the model NUMBER exactly, and selected the right operating system, i am talking to you (and downloading these via my sexy beast of a laptop hehehhehehe
