Answer» This is aimed at GX1_man,Raptor,Zylstra555. thanks for getting back so soon. and no its not a computer joke about Rapunzel Street1 lol. I know what error codes sound like, my old computer crashed with the blue screen of death several times, with the help of a friend whose MICROSOFT certified I brought it back several times but he has since moved away--friends for 30 yrs. to sad to talk about lol. anyway its not error code beeps. its more like a short attacking buzz, I'll get back with you on the motherboard manufac later today after work, its 3:37 am,rest of the family still ASLEEP, gotta be quiet. this buzz seems to have no affect on the computer preformance but it does irritate the wife though, its still a swing rhythum -- - -- - -- - -- - aprox 8 SETS of 3, this happens not on startup, it just randomly happens, she doesn't have to be doing anything on the system for this to happen. Anyway is anyone experienced at building computers, i have and old one I'm practicing on and have a question about wire hookups, some wires match the names on the motherboard manual and some don't. Quote some wires match the names on the motherboard manual and some don't. Grin You mean the case wires? What are the names displayed on the wires and what are the names displayed on the mainboard? I believe that the white wire should always point to the left side of the motherboard when you are facing it, if I remember CORRECTLY. Or perhaps it is a buzzing sound produced by an electronic part that is failing. Or perhaps it is the Hard Disk Drive. Disconnect everything but the hardware you require to boot and then slowly rebuild your system to find the culprit. It is probably a fan noise but,you could read up on motherboard and PSU MOSFETS. Sometimes they make whining noises. Rapunzel =Sorry couldn't resist. |
