Answer» Hello. The problem I am having is my text is double spaced on my emails and in my blog. Example: I put something in, say Publisher, with regular spacing between lines but when I copy and paste in a message or email it will go out douoble-spaced. I'm sure it's the settings in my computer but I don't know where to go to make the change. Can someone out there help me. Thank you very much, LARRY WollerHello, It should read "Text" is double spaced, sorry. LarryBeen doing some experimenting and a paragraph of written sentences appear to be fine, but something like a poem, for instance, is sent double spaced. LarryWhen publishing ONLINE websites, and other things that make their end results in HTML, you often will get an extra line when you press ENTER. Instead of just pressing ENTER, press SHIFT+ENTER . This will prevent the extra line from appearing.
Does that work for you? Or was it something else? Hello, THANKS for the input. That works with some of the problem. The problem I'm having mainly is if I copy something like a poem, recipe, etc that I have in Publisher and when I paste in an email or on my blog it comes out double spaced. (example below) When I copy something like this paragraph it posts fine. I think it's in the program in my pc but I just cannot figure out how to change it at this time. Thank you, Larry
How it was copied: I’ve tilled the fields and went to war Built cities and bridges and much more, Has my destiny run it’s course Lord, is there any more?
How it looked after pasting;
I’ve tilled the fields and went to war
Built cities and bridges and much more,
Has my destiny run it’s course
Lord, is there any more?
Okay, well, there isnt much of a way to fix that problem while pasting, but you can try this:
Click File> Import> (select your text format) Select the document that has your text. This will handle the formatting for you.
If that doesn't work, click the first line of text, press BACKSPACE, and then SHIFT+ENTER
I’ve tilled the fields and went to war
<BACKSPACE> <SHIFT+ENTER>Built cities and bridges and much more,
<BACKSPACE> <SHIFT+ENTER>Has my destiny run it’s courseOk thanks for the info, I'll give it a go and let you know how it works. My blog by the way is a chronicle or diary, no "ranting" on my page. (**) Have a good day! LarryIt sounds like thats just how the blog site formats line returns? Shift-enter can make a different 'character' and that site is just interpreting the one USED in your email program as a 'new paragraph'...
