Solve : Tech schooling?

Answer»

I'm currently in SCHOOL learning how to be a PC/network tech. The classes I took since Fall 2011 are:

--CIT 115 Intro to Information Technology;
--CIT 150 PC Components/Operating Systems;

For Spring 2012 I took:

--CIT 120 Networking;
--CIT 250 Internetworking of Computers;

For First SUMMER 2012 I took:

--CIT 601 Intro to Internet Research,

and for the upcoming Spring 2013 semester I'm taking:

--CIT 181 Principles of Information Security.

Actually, the description of my upcoming class is according to my school's course catalogue:

Quote

This course provides students necessary background in the technical realities and legal and theoretical principles of computer and information security to help them identify and evaluate computer security crimes and incidents. Topics include information security components and models, legal and ethical issues in information security and privacy, basics of computer networks and data communication, common computer and network SYSTEM threats, attacks, and vulnerabilities, as well as information security risk and damage analysis and assessment.

Can anyone here please give me some background info on what exactly I'll be learning during the upcoming semester (the school catalogue only gives a brief overview of the course) and what my responsibilities will be now that I'm getting this material under my belt (in addition to the computer classes I took beforehand)?

thanks in advance.Looks like a fun course. You will get a lot out of this course. I took a similar course in computer forensics and cyber security.

In the past when I have had questions about courses, I have contacted the college itself and they usually give you the direct contact of a professor who is instructing the course. They will be able to address your questions or any concerns better than what I myself or others here may be able to assume of this course.
