Solve : System Recovery Error? |
|
Answer» I have a compaq presario S3200NX, and am planning to do a full system recovery(restore the computer to the way it was at purchase). When i start the recovery process(i don't have discs, it is a F10 restore) it says a registry file is missing, in some system 32 folder. I would make recovery discs, but my CD burner is broke, and it didn't come with discs. It says no log or alternate can be found for the file and it is stopping the process. It is right at the beginning. What Should I Do?Buy a win98se disk...........and reload the systemUmmm...I have windows XP by the way, and here is the exact message: Ummm...I have windows XP by the way, and here is the exact message: Is your system functioning properly otherwise? And I am just cleaning up, by the way. BASICALLY I will try and get my hands on an external CD burner so i can burn recovery discs, which would be an option but my internal is broke. And yes I can run the computer and access what I might NEED to fix things also. Thanks for the help so far.One other question, i have tried to run the recovery DISC burn program on a DIFFERENT PC, and it says no partition is available. So, If I could find another computer of the same model, could I run the program on that PC, or any Compaq Model? Quote so, i guess there is nothing i can do about the F8 Restore now working?
