Solve : Symbols on laptop case showing what to plug in?

Answer»

Is there somewhere I can see pictures of the little symbols on my laptop that show what goes in what connection port. Most of them I know but after buying a LOCK I don't see the usual rectangular opening.

There is one but it has a symbol that I don't recognize. I don't want to ruin something. The COMPUTER is an IBM ThinkPad. Are you talking about the images that come up on the screen? All the system images are usually stored in the %systemroot% folder, where %systemroot% is the main system folder on your HDD.Check your manual or IBM's website for the laptop's connections.

Does the symbol look like this: ? If so, you're good to go.Thanks. I tried IBM but they referred me to manual on computer and there it was. It is a Security Keyhole. Looks like 2 boxes, one on TOP of the other, on an upsidedown T. Good. Now I am set for my trip.

Thanks to all who replied!! Now I will check that manual first. Didn't even know it was there.

SamsamGlad that you got it figured out - those MANUALS can come in handy!

Wrap the other END of that lock around a .357 magnum

Best of luck!
