Answer» I have a computer that is on a network but it has to BECOME a stand alone computer. How do I do it?Unplug the ethernet cable.
We need more info, though.I have a computer that has been configured that the user must log in when the computer BOOTS up. You put in your username and password and everything is fine.
However this computer is now in a room with no network CONNECTION. I must log in for the final time and change some configurations so it does not need to require a log in screen to start. The computer will not be on the network and it will not have INTERNET. (i.e it does not need a log in screen)
ThanksWhat Windows version? It is Windows 2000. I seen it done before with Windows 98. It is something like clicking or unclicking the Windows of Family button. RIGHT next to adding TCP-IP, etc. connection.Right click "My Computer"
On the Network tab (I cant remember the exact name of the tab) go to Properties and change "Domain" to "Workgroup"
