Solve : Surprise Price Tag for 128MB MP3 Player?

Answer»

So I was looking up INFO to fix a MP3 player that I should just toss away and replace with a modern MP3 player and found that Newegg still sells the Creative Labs 128MB MP3 player, but at a steep price tag. Surprisingly someone recently paid the price tag for this 10 YEARS out of date rip off and complained in the feedback. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0AT0PC2689&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleMKP&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleMKP-_-pla-_-MP3+%2f+MP4+Players-_-9SIA0AT0PC2689

Seems to me that someone has 128MB confused with 128GB...  Nah, 128MB appears to be right but I agree it seems awfully high for 128MB.  However, the pricing on newegg is similar to Amazon.  See http://www.amazon.com/Creative-NOMAD-Flash-Drive-Player/dp/B0000AVF7X/ref=sr_1_15?s=mp3&ie=UTF8&qid=1379717621&sr=1-15&keywords=creative+mp3+players

And, this appears to be an older model.  I saw buyer reviews on Amazon.com that were POSTED in 2003.What I find funny in the price is that I bought mine at Wal-mart for like $30 in 2004, and for it to be 4x that is crazy..lol Quote from: soybean on September 20, 2013, 04:57:53 PM

If you sort the reviews "Newest first", the most recent is from November 2008. I think it's just an obsolete product listing that never got removed. I am suspicious of that 2013 Newegg review. I bought an Android 4 phone and a 32 GB micro SD card for less than that player COST.
