I think that SureDelete has written 1's and 0's to all unused sectors and sectors that previously contained files. Most likely to prepare it for resale or termination of important files.

I think there is little you can do about this apart from REFORMATTING. Since the data written is not recognized by Windows, I doubt you can remove it using Windows?

Correct me if I am wrong, I haven't had much EXPERIENCE 'securely' cleaning my PC as I have little to hide.

alright so how do i do that?  how do i back up all my stuff and everything?XP hides scandisk...
Double-click My computer on the Desktop (or Start, My Computer), select drive, File, Properties, Tools, Check Now..., Select Options, Start.

Burn the data to CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMS or other writeable/removeable media.
