Answer» I am trying to reinstall windows onto a 6gb hard drive and it goes through the normal processes until reaching the first screen where hundreds of strange characters appear all over the screen. ie ALPHA and numeric characters and lots of symbols I've never seen. The HDD is not corrupt. Does this mean the motherboard is faulty ? Any suggestions would be APPRECIATED. I cannot duplicate most of the symbols here for you to see.A virus? Also, I do not know how much SPACE on your hard disk that Windows take up, but your hard disk might be too small... [glb]Flame[/glb]windows uses less than 300mb so space not an issue. tried hard drive in another pc and it installed windows fine. thats why I think the MAINBOARD is faulty. or is it the videocard ?
