After the 1st couple of dumps I checked Microsoft for updates and updated the HP and graphics drivers, but that did not solve my problem. My system seems to run fine unless I open the screensaver wndow; then it crashes.Multiple and varied bsod's generally point to a hardware issue. Could be ram, mobo, power supply, maybe even something else. First thing you want to do is download memtest, burin the .iso to cd and run it: http://www.memtest.org/I ran the memtest; 100% passed, no errors.Do you have accessed to your web browsers or cannot open(ex.IE8) or microsoft stops/errors when trying to access the web? I recently had this error only on opening IE8 and was able to solve it by removing certain add-ons... Just a thought. No IE problems; only in the screensaver window; my pc crashes before I can make any changes. I'm on the pc now; it works fine as long as I stay away from that window.

Well, if it only happens when you use the screensaver.............I need to increase the time before my screensaver kicks in, but every time I open that window my pc crashes. How about just not using a screensaver?

Make the changes in safe mode...save and exit.
PS These are addon screensavers...correct ? ? You never mentioned if you had any eye-candy apps such as WindowBlinds installed...I have solved the problem; I noticed that I did not have this issue with my daughter's account, so I created a new account for myself and deleted the old one. Maybe it was some sort of corrupted file?
QuoteMaybe it was some sort of corrupted file?
You FOUND it... Although you never mentioned any accounts. Recreating or removing the account will most likely get rid of any corrupted file in your case similarly to my previous STOP error on my IE browser unable to open or accessed by removing a certain Toolbar from control panel. Good job! And instead of SCREEN savers, you are much better off just SETTING the hd and display to power down after a defined period of inactivity.
