Answer» Win.XP Home
When I boot my pc I would like it to start without installing common start-up progs like AV, FIREWALL etc then when I connect to Internet (dial-up) automatically start these progs before connecting.
In other words I don't see the NEED for AV, firewall etc when running the pc offline.
Can this be done? - if so how?
Thankstype msconfig in the run box..click startup folder and untick the boxes that relate to the PROGRAMS you wish to disable on start-up and you may find this site interesting >http://www.blackviper.com/WIN2K/servicecfg.htmThanks merlin_2 - any ideas on how to get the progs to auto start at Internet logon?? The full version of ICQ has a launch facility that will start programmes when it detects an Internet CONNECTION.
