Mini survey.........since you had your pc .....How many times have you,re-installed windows.......on it......

A honest response........will surfice........None, I'm running that stable w2k.  Actually i use Acronis True Image with bi-weekly backups. I also have a "virgin" image that has just the bare essentials including all diagnostic programs; FFox; TBird etc.

But i probably go back to that image about every 4 mos. or so.

Oh, I don't keep track of the AMOUNT of times I reformat. I can tell you I phoned Microsoft twice. Or thrice. The first time I did it I got nervous and hung up after someone told me my serial number was blocked.Hard to keep track of with all the computers I run and use. However, some might be impressed (or sad) that my primary play machine (machine I use to break, install viruses on, or do other bad things to) has been formatted and had one variant of windows installed on it several dozen times, at least 20+ times over the last YEAR. However, between all the other computers (even the computers running WIN95 Win98), I probably haven't had to reinstall Windows on those computers more than 5-10 times.Thanks brothers/sisters......for the replies........interested to see if techo have moved forward in time and space.....i have only done it once because some numpty at tiscaly thought i had a trojan!!!

R0SSI had to erase and reinstall windows hmm at least once a year cause for some reason I do something that is unfixable. and I have 3 so that is 3x5 =15 times so far. Didn't count this year yet. I plan to soon loL!
