Solve : Standard User Account? |
|
Answer» Hi there, The standard user account type in Windows 7 provides a limited set of permissions needed for most non-administrative APPLICATION scenarios.Click onl link for full details. Ahh yes sorry should have said it is Windows 10 Home. There is an internet connection. There isn't any Anti-Virus on there other than the default Windows Defender. This is a New PC. As it is a non admin login you can't OPEN a download or sometimes download an item. Settings are in Control Panel/Admin Tools... NOTE: You must be logged in as Admin to change any settings to other accounts...the inbuilt Defender on the latest Win10 builds is all you need. I've never seen a standard user account not be able to surf the web, and download files. they are limited in what the can install but not download. if you want them to install whatever they want, make the account an Administrator type otherwise do what all parents and employers do with their standard level accounts, type in the password of an admin account every time they scream SOMETHING is being blocked. |
