Solve : standaloen comp disconnects internet comp?

Hi there,

I have college very soon and am very frustrated.

After my standalone computer (in another room) boots up, the INTERNET computer becomes disconnected from the Internet. When I switch the standalone computer off the Internet is now AVAILABLE.

Can somebody please tell me why this is

Or point me in the right direction, because my ISP and BT won't reply to my e-mails.

Is it computer settings or bad BT wiring or signalling

If you are using the internet computer as a host, the client (standalone) will not be able to access the Internet when the host is turned off.

You failed to mention how your computers are networked. The above theory was merely hypothetical and may not apply to you.
