Solve : Song at startup????

Answer»

Is there a way that you can add your own song to the startup of windows xp? If you could, wouldn't that be soooooo cool!!!!?

thx

Yes, there is, but, I should warn you, LONG songs can make your computer take a little while longer.

If it still seems worth while, find that song that you want, and then go to:
Start> Control Panel> and find "Sound" or "Hardware and Sound" (whichever it is in Windows XP)
Find "Windows Startup" (or "Startup") click it, and browse for your song.

Its pretty self explanatory once you have the sound control panel opened. I've got it to play a Remix of the Windows Startup Sound I made. How long with the player play after the Welcome screen? I cannot play a full length track, it cuts off after about 45 secs.

Thats right, and it should cut off. It would be a bit ridiculous to load an entire song into memory just to play at startup, SINCE it can slow down your computer. (ESPECIALLY shut down NOISES, which the computer pauses the shutdown process all-together to play)
If you really want an entire song to play at startup, you can:
Create a Scheduled Task at Startup to open the desired music file. It should open the file without opening Windows Media Player, though it might open Media Player in an older OS. Wait I dont remember this thread how does pauda keep coming back?

I KINDA miss the guy even if he/she did leave
