Solve : software to detect brand and size of my hdd?

Answer»

anyone can help me with this?i try everest but i don't found that section. Is it there, can it know my hdd and BRAND like seagate or maxtor?

I don't WANT to waste my time to opening the computer casing since there are lot of pc here, so any help will be appreciate. The easiest way IMO is to Open Device Manager.
Select "Disk drives".
note the name of the drive(s) listed there.
Google the name.

This should usually tell you what drive you've got.

Everest should be able to tell you the name of the drive as well.
In Everest select Storage and select ATA.
Select the drive you want INFO about and scroll down to where it says "ATA Device Physical Info".To add to Deerparks' suggestion, boot into the BIOS and you'll find the make of the hard drive there as well.

Alan <>< You could try Belarc Advisor...it will show everything on your computer.

What about Computer>Summary>Storage?I was USING the free version kuszmania9999, Everest must not be able to get any info about your drive for some reason. The other 3 suggestions will work...yup, the other 3 works, but just confuse with the everest...Anyway, i FOLLOW ale52, how can i forgot to do that before posting
