I changed chargers for some reason this works. A charger might be SIZED to FULLY CHARGE the battery over a number of hours when the phone is idle, but if you use the phone a lot for calls or wifi internet, and especially games, you could drain the battery quicker than the charger can fill it up. I once tried my ZTE smartphone from 2011 as a wireless webcam (using an Android app called IP Webcam). The phone was fairly new and so I suppose the battery was healthy. It worked using wifi via my home router. When the phone was used alone the battery ran down in about 2 hours. With the ZTE official charger plugged in, it ran down in 4 hours. That phone is still in use as an alarm clock and in airplane mode it lasts about 2 weeks on a full charge.
